Run, just run...
She pumps her arms harder, moves her legs faster.
Run...
With every step her mind is clearing, her anger, all the commotion in her brain is getting left behind. It can't keep up. All that is there now is pure concentration, nothing but the wind in her face and the footfalls on the asphalt. The music moving through her head.
Where was she running to? She didn't even though. Following a straight path that led to her goal. Dark clouds in the sky, wind picking up even through the dense forest of trees. Rain started to drizzle, then worked up into a roaring pour. She kept on running, never broke her pace never looking back. Just pushing harder and harder. The trees seemed to go on forever, the path never ending, but she knew she was getting close. There was something at the end of this road, something she needed to get to.
The trees started to lessen and a dark figure could be seen in the distance. She pushed even harder then. She had to reach them! Soon she broke through the trees into a clearing of a cliff. She slowed to a stop, breathing hard, like she couldn't get enough air. Hair plastered to her forehead from rain and sweat.
Standing at the edge of the cliff was a young man, back towards her. She continued to stand there, she found who she was looking for. Taking a few steps towards him he started to turn around. All she saw was the sad look in his eyes, the regretful expression that made up his face, before she woke up...
